Nyos Ion B Ca/Mg+ is one of two supplements in a new 2-Part Dosing System range by Nyos. The Nyos Ion-B method is a state-of-the-art dosing system for modern reef tanks. The system is simple and intuitive and can be individually adapted to the needs of your aquarium.

Dosage Instructions:
- Dosage should replenish daily consumption of alkalinity.
- 1,000ml (34 fl oz) of ION-BALANCED CA/MG+ contain approx. 72,000 mg Ca
- Guideline for dosage: 5-10ml/day per 100 L (25 gal) of tank water
What Makes Nyos’ Ion-B Dosing System different to other methods:
- When equal amounts of the Nyos Ion-B ALK/PH+ and CA/MG+ solution are added, alkalinity and carbonate are added in a ratio of approx. 1:7, so that ideal and balanced conditions for coral growth are created. Even though individual consumption may vary depending on the aquarium due to further metabolic processes, the dosage of alkalinity and calcium is much easier, since both solutions are consumed to a similar extent.
- Like classic methods, The Nyos Ion-B method leads to additional sodium chloride accumulation within the aquarium water over time. The difference to classic methods, however, is that the missing ions (e.g. sulfate, potassium) are immediately compensated for with the addition of the supplement, so that no ion shift occurs.
- Nyos Ion-B Alk/pH+ is not only a means of balancing carbonate hardness, but also simultaneously stabilizes the pH in the target range of 8.0-8.3. The pH drop at night is avoided.
