In the event that your product is suspected as faulty, and within the manufacturer’s warranty, the product will need to be returned to us (with your copy receipt or invoice) for examination and testing before a replacement or refund is issued, including your return postage fees incurred.
Many manufacturers will often deal directly with the consumer nowadays, so we suggest contacting us via email first to discuss.
If necessary, a replacement will be sent as soon as possible and or a refund if applicable. We will of course arrange any collections for products sent in error or faulty.

ONLINE SALE OF LIVESTOCK TERMS AND CONDITIONS:

‘Livestock’ referring to corals and other invertebrates and vertebrates requires extra terms and conditions, and you should read this carefully before ordering.
We are unable to ship livestock outside of England, Wales and Scotland due to Cites regulations and animal welfare reasons.
Email communication and confirmation before we post livestock are essential, so we can agree on a suitable shipping/delivery day.
Livestock orders are shipped on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday. Unless by special arrangement.
Livestock orders are shipped using a next-day delivery service before 1 pm, to ensure that your livestock arrives in tip-top condition. You will be notified of the export of your shipment via email after arrangements have been made to deliver.
If you would like to collect your livestock order, a prior arrangement, via email is necessary first, as we may have your livestock held elsewhere and not at Advanced Aquarium Consultancy Headquarters.
We reserve the right to postpone or cancel any orders or refund any orders that are priced incorrectly, or in an un-saleable condition. Livestock can be temperamental at times, and if we are not happy with the specimen ordered, we may choose to refund you or send any other items ordered at the same time, minus the items we are not happy with. We will of course contact you should this happen.
In the unlikely event of any problems that occur during shipping, please accept the parcel, even if there has been a delay. DO NOT REFUSE DELIVERY, so as not to cause any further unreasonable suffering to the animals contained in the shipment. We will do our best to resolve your issues with the livestock received.
Any dead on arrival (d.o.a) animals, must be reported to us within 2 hours of delivery. This is paramount and no claims will be processed without the following.
Photographic evidence will be required should we offer credit, and should be forwarded within the same day on receipt of livestock. Without photographic evidence, a claim will not be entertained. Dead on arrival specimens are classed as a death in transit, not several days later. We may also ask you to return any dead coral skeletons if required, for further clarification at your cost postage wise.
Should we offer a credit, the credit amount is emailed to you, for a future order. You must be immediately available to start a careful acclimatising of your animals purchased on receipt.

We cannot credit/refund livestock shipping costs unfortunately for obvious reasons.

We also reserve the right to refund your purchase, as we may not be able to source a replacement at the time due to the unique nature of livestock.

Dead on arrival claims, will not be accepted if you have missed the original delivery specified.

WE DO NOT ACCEPT LIVESTOCK RETURNS under any circumstances, due to disease control. If you are not happy with your purchase, please contact us within 12 hours of receiving your order to discuss this with us. It is also your responsibility to RESEARCH THE ANIMALS you purchase so that they are compatible with your existing livestock and provide any necessary quarantine or health measures required.

It is well accepted by experienced hobbyists, that many marine animals, especially corals and other invertebrates, will not arrive in the same colourful and expanded condition after travelling, as seen in the photos in the online store, or retail store, and should be allowed to settle and adapt to their new surroundings before making assumptions of ill health.

Again, please research the animals you are buying and ensure you can meet their demands prior to purchase. Contact us if you require any further advice. You should be of an experienced nature to order corals and other invertebrates from any online source, and also be able to handle and have knowledge of the correct acclimatisation procedures for the species purchased.

Livestock is not the responsibility of Advanced Aquarium Consultancy ltd once the coral or other invertebrate has left our custody and is in your care.
Advanced Aquarium Consultancy ltd uses hi-tech LED lighting and cannot be held accountable for purchases viewed under other sources of lighting that show differences in the colouration of corals, or other invertebrates from any photography found on this website.

Photographs will be shown with slight enhancement often under blue spectrum lighting, to show their contrasting colour pigments. Most reef aquariums run on Led lighting today, so most aquarists can replicate the same look, but if you are unsure as to how your purchase will appear under different sources of light – please contact us through the Contact Us tab to discuss.

If any of the above terms and conditions need further clarification – please contact us via email first to discuss before purchasing. Alternatively, you can write to us at

Livestock deliveries are made by email arrangement only and may require a further time period to process. We will contact you via email to make arrangements best suited. We offer live deliveries from Tuesday to Friday.

Livestock carries an extra delivery charge of £14.99 (Scottish Highlands may incur extra courier charges), no matter how small or large the order, and this may be sent separately to other dry goods purchased at the same time.

Please understand that if bad weather conditions prevail or are predicted, we may choose to hold the order until conditions improve, likewise for any transport issues or strikes that may interfere with your live delivery.

DRY GOODS DELIVERY

We use signed-for courier service on a ‘next day delivery before 4 pm’ for dry goods orders, depending on the time and day you placed your order. We aim to despatch the next available working day. If an item has become unavailable for any reason, we will contact you via email with an estimated delivery time. Some items may require up to 5-7 working days according to size, weight, packing and location of the product. Generally, this will be highlighted in the description of the product. Specially ordered items may take longer.
Please make sure you read the dry goods terms and conditions to follow below.

Please be aware that certain product items (such as the larger DIY Net Covers and Hydra Rails), as well as larger quantities of Rock (above 20kg), may be listed as ‘Non-Conveyable Items’, and require an additional postage charge due to the specifications of APC Couriers (This is due to the size and weight of the items in question). These products are NOT included in the ‘Free Delivery on Dry Goods Over £75’ Specification, and upon purchase will be charged the ‘Non-Conveyable’ Delivery rate, even if the cost of the goods exceeds the minimum charge for Free Delivery.

FREE DELIVERY ON ORDERS OVER £75 ARE FOR DRY GOODS ONLY IN THE MAINLAND UK. Highlands and Islands will require extra charges. Please contact us for a shipping quote.

DELIVERIES OUTSIDE OF THE UK MAINLAND

Please note our free shipping/delivery offer for orders over £75 only applies to orders that are to be delivered to the UK mainland.

For UK Highlands, Northern Ireland and other UK Islands (for example The Isle of Wight), extra shipping costs will be applied to the order along with an additional charge based on weight and the shipping zone. These charges will be advised once shipping weights, size and costs are calculated for your order and in some cases may require external confirmation before we confirm the shipment of your order.

If your order is not for delivery to the UK mainland, then, unfortunately, there is no free shipping. In the case of some rare specific types of orders, the courier service we will use may have different charges and prices for different UK zones.  However, we will do our very best to choose the most appropriate for your order and advise you of those costs if necessary before shipping your goods or confirming your order.

How does Pay in 3 instalments work?
Klarna’s Pay in 3 instalments is a credit product that lets you spread the cost of your purchases over 3 equal payments. Klarna will take the payments from your debit or credit card directly so you don’t have to worry about missing a payment. Klarna will take the first payment when you make the purchase, the second 30 days later and the final payment 60 days from your purchase date. You can see your past and future payments at any time using the Klarna app.

Am I eligible for Pay in 3 instalments?
You need to be at least 18 years old and a UK resident to use Klarna’s credit products including Pay in 3 instalments. When you choose Klarna they will also check the information you provide and your financial situation.

Can I have multiple Pay in 3 instalments orders at the same time?
Yes, you can. If you see Klarna Pay in 3 instalments when you go to an online checkout then Pay in 3 instalments is available to you. Every time you use Pay in 3, Klarna will check to see whether you can use Pay in 3 again for each additional purchase.

What does Klarna consider when reviewing my application?
Klarna offers Pay in 3 instalments based on a number of factors such as the purchase amount, and previous order history. You can improve your chances of being offered Pay in 3 instalments by ensuring you provide your full name, accurate address details and arrange shipping to your registered billing address. All orders are assessed individually. Just because you have been accepted for Pay in 3 instalments before does not mean it will be offered for every order. In turn, if your application for Pay in 3 instalments is denied, it does not mean it will be denied for future orders.

What do I need to provide when I make a purchase?
If you want to purchase something using Klarna’s Pay in 3 instalments, you’ll need to share your phone number, email address, current billing address and your credit or debit card details. Klarna will take your Pay in 3 instalments payments from the debit or credit card you shared when you made your purchase. Klarna will take the first payment when you make your purchase, the second payment after 30 days and the final payment 60 days from the day you made your purchase. You can see both past and future payments using the Klarna app.

Can I pay before the due date?
Yes. Just go to the Klarna app or log onto Klarna.com/uk.

Is my payment information safe?
Payment information is processed securely by Klarna. No card details are transferred to or held by Advanced Aquarium Consultancy. All transactions take place through connections secured with the latest industry standard security protocols.

What happens if I don’t pay for my order on time?
Pay in 3 instalments is a credit product and you are required to make your scheduled payments to Klarna. If Klarna is unable to collect your payment on the scheduled due date Klarna will make a further attempt to automatically collect payment seven days later. Should this next payment attempt fail, Klarna will make a final attempt to collect payment seven days later. They may continue to attempt to collect overdue and currently due payments on subsequent due dates, or invoice you separately for the unpaid total. Klarna may also share information about your missed payments with credit reference agencies. This means you may find it difficult or more expensive to use Klarna or other lenders’ credit products in the future. Full details can be found in the Klarna terms and conditions here.

What happens if I don’t pay for my order?
If you don’t make your payments you will be in arrears as Pay in 3 is a credit product. Klarna may then share information about your missed payments with credit reference agencies. This means you may find it difficult or more expensive to use Klarna or other lenders’ credit products in the future. Klarna may also refer any debt to a debt collection agency.
