Description

Liquid carbon dosing concentrate for nutrient reduction for advanced reef aquarists

The nutrient conditions for the lower animals in the reef aquarium (corals, sponges, and others) are ideal, if nitrate and phosphate are present in the lowest concentrations. Tropic Marin Elimi-NP is concentrated organic carbon for the effective and efficient reduction of nitrate and phosphate in reef aquariums through the introduction of these compounds into additional biomass.

Elimi-NP is suitable for all saltwater aquariums with increased phosphate concentration and a low nitrate-phosphate ratio, as frequently observed in reef aquariums with a calcium reactor.

Usage Instructions:

Using the 50 ml bottle: Attach the enclosed hose to the syringe and measure the desired amount of Elimi-NP with the syringe. The air that gets into the hose and syringe while pulling the syringe, does not affect the dosage. The bottom edge of the plunger always displays the correct dosing amount even if the desired quantity of Elimi-NP, due to the air drawn in, is only in the hose and not in the syringe chamber. The air drawn in serves to empty the hose during dosing.

Using the 200 ml bottle: Turn the pump head counterclockwise until it pops out. Pressing the pump head once is equivalent to 1 ml.

Dosage: Begin with a daily dose of 0.1 ml per 100 l (26 US-gal) of aquarium system volume and increase the dosage after 2 weeks, observing the animals and checking the nitrate and phosphate concentrations, by 0.1 ml per 100 l (26 US-gal) of aquarium system volume. Dose Elimi-NP into the flow of the pump to ensure proper distribution throughout the aquarium.

Maximum dose: A daily dose of 0.5 ml per 100 l (26 US-gal) of aquarium system volume should not be exceeded. The concentration of phosphate in the reef aquarium should only be lowered slowly to avoid possible adjustment stress in the organisms. At the same time, the nitrate-phosphate ratio should not exceed 10:1.
